Using BuyIT.gov is simple. Once your Federal agency has identified requirements, there are two ways to use BuyIT.gov's acquisition services:
Using the BuyIT.gov contracting office—We will perform all the expert acquisition support services you need; that is, "we do the contracting." We provide solicitation, award, and routine post-award procurement services to acquire the information technology goods and services you require to fulfill mission requirements. For the steps involved, please click here.
Ordering directly from GITSS contracts—If you prefer, we can delegate authority to your agency's contracting activity to place task orders against the GITSS contracts. In other words, "you do the task order contracting." Click here for the steps involved in this approach.
Both methods require BuyIT.gov and the customer agency to sign an Inter/Intra Agency Cross-Servicing Support Agreement (VA Form 2269). This is a simple two-page agreement available on our Web site. Click here to get a copy of the agreement.
If you have questions, please call us at (512) 326-6531. We're here to help you buy IT.
